A versatile and vibrant artist, Hillary Miller works with watercolor, pastel,
oil, and ceramics. Her latest addition of painting on silk has recently taken center
stage among her varied media. Her expressions range from soft quiet clouds to dazzling
blasts of fiery sunsets, symbolic imagery to startling realism to dreamy fields of
ever-moving color. Her silk works are wonderful for framing as well as wearing.
A working artist since 1980, she began by creating calligraphy greeting cards while completing her BA in Fine Arts.
Hillary received her MFA in drawing and painting in 1988 from California State University, Fullerton.
Hillary has exhibited her portraits, landscapes, still lifes and silk paintings in California since 1985.
She has been teaching drawing and painting since 1988 at local colleges and her home studio in Carbon Canyon, CA,
where she lives with her husband and the younger of her two teenage sons, while the older one is in New York attending NYU.
